Chippendale Pembroke Table

New England, probably North Shore Massachusetts or New Hampshire

Figured mahogany, white pine and maple secondary woods.
Over-all in fine condition, with minor surface wear commensurate to age and use, original bail brass.
This exceptional example of a Chippendale one drawer Pembroke table having a molded-edge drop-leaf serpentine top supported by tapered, molded legs joined by a shaped cross stretcher is made from the finest dense figured mahogany imported to the coasted areas of New England during the 18th century.
