Chippendale single drop-leaf tables are quite rare to find and we assume were made to order for entryways or dining areas. This example, constructed from figured mahogany, is supported by graceful cabriole legs with peaked knees—a feature more commonly found in Salem furniture—ending on finely carved ball and claw feet.
