Over-all in fine condition, lined canvas on original white pine stretcher. Housed in a 19th c. style gilt frame.

This wonderful arrangement of flowers in a vase placed on a stone ledge is reminiscent of Dutch still life paintings. During the mid-19th century, some American artists were inspired by this, as seen here in this still life.
