Sack-Back Windsor Armchair

Connecticut, probably New London County, ca. 1790-1800. Yellow poplar (seat), maple (legs), oak. Condition: Excellent, old varnish finish. Having boldly carved knuckle arms with swelled, flared spindles above a shaped saddle seat supported by vase and ring turned splay legs. Provenance: Dr. Howard Diamond, MA.
