This desirable diminutive size has a few features that are similar to those attributed to the cabinet shop of Duncan Phyfe, the most noted New York cabinet maker of the period. The turned brass front feet, the dovetailing on the drawers and the mahogany drawer bottoms are additional features found on pieces associated with the Phyfe cabinet shop.
